The Light of Love

Most of us desire that perfect true love, only to realize that there is indeed no such thing as perfect love. Yet we all give a mediocre percentage of energy we can give each day of the week and call it love. Unfortunately, it’s the truth because we live in a broken world that requires even the slightest amount of energy to show love and affection. We lose sight of the bigger picture when we are searching and praying for love. It’s like we almost forget who our real lover is, and I presume that we all know who that person is. Why do you think we crave such perfect love? Want to hear my opinion? We were designed by the perfect creator who first loved us and even sent his Son, Lord Jesus Christ, to die for our sins. Through our Lord and Savior, we have been shown true love and mercy that goes beyond any perception of the human soul. Jesus, the Almighty God who came down to earth in human form, taught us to love one another. Why love? Out of everything in this world, love is the most powerful thing known to man. Love is what makes a nation great; love is what separates the wicked and the righteous.

In the Light of Love, Belle realizes that her true love is indeed Jesus Christ. She begins to understand that no matter what she does in this world, it’s all for God. Because of heartbreak and sin, Belle realizes that trusting God is the key to unlocking joy. You see, there is no love without joy because joy is the ultimate way to accept any situation you might be in with wisdom, patience, and understanding. Belle has always desired the perfect romantic love that the movies always portray. Unfortunately, we don’t live in a perfect world; therefore, we can never achieve such perfect romantic love as the movies portray.

Throughout the story, Belle undergoes a great deal of character change as God qualifies her to be the person that she needs to be. We, too, can see this reflected in our lives as God changes and molds us into who we need to be. You see, God doesn’t call the person already qualified for a role. God qualifies the person to undergo a massive change to be better suited for a role or career. As humans, we often ask ourselves, “Why can’t we have it all?” Belle thinks the same way we do, and millions, if not billions of people, reflect on that question their whole lives. They ask themselves why they can’t have it all. Why can’t we have the perfect husband or wife? Why can’t we have the perfect job? Why can’t we have the perfect life? Why does God test us? Why can’t God give us a husband or a wife fast enough? The problem with that question lies within the person asking that question. You see, nothing good comes easy. Jesus had to endure tribulations as well as the apostles, so what makes us different? Throughout her story, Belle believes that God wants us to suffer, which is not true. As Christians, we are called to pick up the cross every day. We are required to go through tribulation and trials, which can feel like torment. Yet, in the end, we all come out victorious because Jesus already won. You see, God can give us whatever we want if he wants to. God could give you (the reader) a million dollars right now. Will he, though? What lesson would you learn if God gave out free gifts? What lesson would you learn if God just handed you your wife or husband without the many trials needed to prepare you as a person?

Through trials and tribulations, as well as questioning her faith like many of us have done before, Belle comes out bruised but alive. Belle realizes that she will go through trials and tribulations that can make her weak, but she soon realizes that in her weakness, she is strong. Through prayer and faith, she meets her lover. Yet she doesn’t know that she is in for a ride because not every day or week will be perfect like in the beginning. She realizes that even though she found someone, God is always the first in her mind. She also realizes what God can give so he can take. In the end, Belle grows as a person, knowing that without the trials and tribulations, she wouldn’t have been prepared for the number of blessings the Lord has bestowed upon her.

If you are reading this, I pray in Jesus’s name that whatever you ask of God, you will get it in due time. Be patient. Your lover or job you have been waiting for might be just around the corner. Just read what happens to Belle.
