Love in the Air: Extraordinary Date Ideas For Cuffing Season

You suddenly glance at your calendar and notice that fall has arrived. Suddenly, the dreaded fear of being alone during the holidays begins to creep up on you. Well, it did to me, but this means that the sun will set earlier, it will get colder, and leaves will swiftly fall down, just like in the Hallmark movies. Even though you can find “the one” during any season of the year, in my experience, fall is the best season to find a partner who loves God the most. In this article, we will be discussing several potential ideas for a date. So, cheer up because this is the season where families come together, presents are exchanged, and frappuccinos feel like a luxury.

Furthermore, this is the season where intimacy is shared, when love is finally proclaimed, and much more. fall is amazing unless you’re single… I’m teasing you, because I have another blog on finding a godly husband or wife. So, let’s get into this.

  1. Pumpkin patch: Everyone knew that this was going to be on the list. I mean, it’s a must in the fall. Don’t get me started on pumpkin carving and listening to worship music as you sip your hot cocoa. So close your eyes and relax because romance is right around the corner. Taking your date to the pumpkin patch can be an ideal way to bond with your date because either of you can choose one pumpkin or two pumpkins to carve together. Some pumpkin patches have animals you can pet, wine tasting, and food you can try. This is the perfect godly date in the fall, especially in October. Listen, I don’t judge, but if your boyfriend doesn’t do romance and you do, I think it’s time to read some of my other articles. What else can I say? Take pictures together, drink some pumpkin spice latte, and read scripture!
  1. The beach: I don’t normally share my secrets, but I will make an exception today. The beach is perfect, especially on a Friday night or evening. Think about it: all the summer crowds are gone, meaning the beaches are empty. So grab some pizza, a comforter, two pillows, and some LED candles to make an evening romantic. Want to take it a step further? Bring your speaker and play some music. The two of you will dance as the waves crash on the shore, the sun sets, and the moon glares upon you two. Oh, and thank the Lord while you two are dancing because he is the reason you get this opportunity.
  1.  Cooking classes/baking together: Close your eyes and imagine it’s the end of November or the second week of December. How do you feel? What do you smell? What do you see? What do you taste? Playing some ambient Christmas music in the background while baking together is much better than going to a fancy restaurant. Dance the night away as the both of you sway side to side while looking into each other’s eyes. Bake some gingerbread cookies, sugar cookies, or any cookie for that matter. Build a gingerbread house and read some Bible verses while you’re at it, too. Bring God to the mix, and just experience the most magnificent date ever.
  1. Hike: The best thing about fall is that the weather is much cooler than the summer. I would recommend going on some dates that involve getting physical, such as hiking. What better way than to spend time together and look at what God created. Reflecting on how loved the both of you are while the autumn breeze touches your skin. Another plus is burning some calories to make extra room for the desserts. So, take a picture together, kiss one another, and hold one another.
  1. Day trips: Now this, this is golden. What better way to spend a warm Autumn day than exploring a different city? Take a day trip together and explore Santa Barbra, Laguna Beach, Malibu, or Solvang. This is all in California, folks, but if you are located in a different state, I would advise you to explore cities you haven’t seen. Men, if you want your date to fall in love with you, take her to Solvang. As a matter of fact, surprise her and show the romantic side in you. There is no shame in showing some love, so what are you waiting for? You can schedule a wine-tasting event, take her to breakfast, and walk with her around this iconic town.
  1. Amusement parks: This should be on everyone’s mind, especially if you live in California. Go to Disneyland during Christmas time. You won’t regret it. Go on some rides, get Mickey ears, buy a sweater, and eat amazing food. “Ahh!” Go to Six Flags and ride some roller coasters. Go to Universal Studios Hollywood and spend the day there as your world transforms. All of this while thinking about God. How cool is it that we have a loving and romantic God, am I right?

These are just some of the ideas for some of the very swell dates in the fall. So, I pray that all of my Christian brothers and sisters find love because nothing is stronger than love. The best thing that can happen to anyone is love. Why? God loved us first, and he is the absolute representation of love. With all of this in mind, don’t think, but do. Make an effort, especially when you are married or have kids. Go on dates alone and praise the Lord that you get to have this privilege. Some Christian brothers and sisters will be single this fall, so thank the Lord you have someone, and don’t ever take love for granted. Remember when you were single and how it made you feel. Song of Solomon 3:4.
